2. What data this site collects

FairAscent does not run any sign-up forms or accounts of its own. The data this site can collect falls into two categories:

• Anonymous traffic data — via Google Analytics (GA4) and Meta Pixel, but only after you actively accept cookies in the consent banner shown when you first visit. If you choose "Essential only," neither tool loads.
• Data handled by affiliate partners — if you click an affiliate link to a third-party provider (Wise, eToro, Coinbase, Revolut, or others we may add), that provider's own site and any affiliate network tracking it (e.g. Partnerize, Impact) may set their own cookies to attribute the referral. FairAscent does not receive your personal data from that process — only that a referral occurred.

3. Affiliate links

FairAscent participates in affiliate programs for the products it writes about. When you click an affiliate link and sign up for a product, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. This is disclosed on every page containing affiliate links. Affiliate tracking is handled by the destination provider and its affiliate network, not by FairAscent directly.

4. Purpose of processing

(a) Understanding how visitors use the site and which content is useful, via GA4 and Meta Pixel — legal basis: consent given through the cookie banner (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). (b) Attribution of affiliate referrals, handled by third-party affiliate networks once you click through — legal basis: legitimate interest in operating an advertiser-supported site (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

5. Third parties

Google (Google Analytics — Ireland/USA), Meta Platforms (Ireland), and the affiliate networks used by the products we cover (e.g. Partnerize, Impact) — each operates under GDPR or maintains appropriate data-transfer safeguards (Standard Contractual Clauses).

6. Retention period

Analytics cookies (GA4, Meta Pixel): retained for up to 26 months from your last visit, or until you clear your browser's site data. FairAscent does not separately store your traffic data outside of these third-party tools.

7. Your rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your data, to data portability, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. 8. Cookies

This site uses Google Analytics and Meta Pixel, which store cookies on your device — only after you accept them in the consent banner shown on your first visit. You can change your decision at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings, which will show the banner again on your next visit.
